I am an artist and HCPC registered art therapist. I enjoy facilitating arts in health projects with children and adults alike, using mosaics, silk painting, textiles and mixed media art. I believe my commitment to both professions inform my practice bye creating a balance that is fundamental to the work I do with others.
In 2016 I became a HCPC registered art therapist and subsequently volunteered with Place2be, a leading provider of integrated therapeutic and emotional support in schools for children. I have also worked therapeutically at Saint Kentigern Hospice and the Hergest Unit at Ysbyty Gwynedd during my training.
Prior to and during my art therapy training, I have been privileged to facilitate a variety of arts in health projects which have taken place in healthcare environments, museums, galleries, schools, community and charitable settings. I am experienced in working with young people on the autistic spectrum and statemented as having special educational needs, including participants with speech, language and communication difficulties. I have devised workshops for adults experiencing depression, stress, anxiety and I have also supported homeless families with multiple and complex needs.
