Six poems by Kathryn Gonzales

Kathryn Gonzales is a poet and the author of ‘It’s Not Just Celery’, a poetry anthology book blending management of an enduring eating disorder, exploring faith and simply being human. As a former peer mentor, Kathryn has helped and supported many at ‘Growing Space’, a mental health charity and continues to reach out through her debut book offering.

Diagnosed with Anorexia Nervosa in her teenage years, Kathryn has lived through undeniable pain and considers both her art-practice and faith as vital elements of her managed recovery & support. Kathryn’s dream is for her work to be used to generate enhanced understanding and cultivate rejuvenated hope within all those affected, be it directly or indirectly by this lethal illness, whilst also crafting a platform for universal compassion and freedom to thrive.

Her poetry has also been displayed in the touring art exhibition “#EmbraceEquity 2023” alongside other female artists’ work inspired by the stories of biblical women as a response to International Women’s Day.

To invest in a copy of ‘Its Not Just Celery’ please email Kathryn via her author email kljgauthor@gmail.com  In time, Kathryn hopes to have copies available in bookstores, hospitals and through book suppliers. Price £8.99
